Abstract:
A lubricating oil composition characterized by containing at least one base oil selected from among mineral oils, synthetic oils and fats and at least one member selected from among phosphorous carboxylic acid compounds, phosphorus compounds, alkylphenols and aromatic amines. In the use of this lubricating oil composition, even when it is used in, for example, a multiplying gear driven in severe atmosphere of high temperature and high surface pressure, there can be exhibited satisfactorily prolonged operating life against oxidation and can be attained high-level sludge resistance and extreme pressure properties.
