Abstract:
Provided is a lubricating oil composition that contains a base oil (A), an aromatic carboxylic acid ester (B) having one or more hydroxyl groups, and a sulfur-based antioxidant (C), and that has the content of phosphorus atoms of 0.06 mass% or less based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition, and the amount of sulfated ash of 0.6 mass% or less based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition.
