Abstract:
Disclosed are a lubricating oil viscosity index improver containing a star-shaped ethylene propylene diene monomer copolymer grafted with maleic anhydride and a preparation method therefor. The improver is a solid of a star-shaped polymer prepared by subjecting an ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber grafted with maleic anhydride, a catalyst (I), a modifying monomer (II) and an auxiliary monomer (III) to a specific melt polymerization method, or a liquid composition of a star-shaped polymer prepared via a solution polymerization method. On the premise of not decreasing the oil detergency of OCP-type VII, the present invention can improve the shear stability or low-temperature performance.
