Abstract:
A lubricating structure for a power transmission device wherein a rotary element chain (9) having a plurality of intermeshed gears is housed within a case (17, 18), and a first gear (10) positioned at the lowermost part of the rotary element chain supplies lubricating oil (OL) to inside of the case by scraping up lubricating oil which collects on a bottom part of the case. The bottom part of the case is a two-layer bottom part (25) comprising an inside bottom wall (22) where the lubricating oil collects, and an outside bottom wall (24) formed so as to provide a space (23) to the outside of the inside bottom wall. Moreover, the inside bottom wall is adjacent to the first gear and a second gear, and is formed so as to slope downward towards the first gear positioned at the lowermost part.
