Abstract:
Through a lubrication oil additive including an amide compound represented by general formula (1) and a lubrication oil composition using the lubrication oil additive, a lubrication oil additive and lubrication oil composition are provided having a high metal-to-metal frictional coefficient and excellent metal-to-metal frictional coefficient/slip speed characteristics. (1): Ra-CO-(NH-L1)n-NRbRc (In the formula, Ra is a C8-22 straight-chain alkyl group or an alkyl group having a C8-22 branched chain, or a C8-22 straight-chain alkenyl group or an alkenyl group having a C8-22 branched chain, L1 is a C1-6 alkylene group, and n is an integer of 1 to 4. Also, -NRbRc is a primary amino group or a piperazinyl group.)
