Abstract:
Proposed is a luggage space (10) structure disposed below a vehicle floor for receiving a roll-up type tonneau cover assembly. A lateral pit (36) is provided in the vehicle floor for receiving the tonneau assembly. An outer case (52) of the tonneau assembly is received in the pit (36) with an axial guide slot (64) in the upward position. The flexible cover sheet (56) can be drawn out of the axial slot (64) while an end member (58) fixed to the cover sheet (56) can be received in a space behind the outer case to the bottom (36B) of the lateral pit (36). Thus the width of the lateral pit (36) can be reduced to a size a little larger than the height (h) of the outer case (52).
