Abstract:
The present invention relates to a luminance uniformity correction device and a control method therefor. More particularly, the present invention relates to a technique for predicting a level of a maximum luminance value to be changed when correcting luminance uniformity of an image displayed on a display device and providing the level to a user. A luminance uniformity correction device, according to one embodiment, comprises: a data acquisition unit for acquiring luminance values of an image displayed on a display device; a control unit for determining a maximum luminance value and a minimum luminance value among the acquired luminance values, determining luminance uniformity of the minimum luminance value on the basis of the maximum luminance value, and determining a variation of the maximum luminance value to be adjusted in order to change the determined luminance uniformity; and a display unit for displaying the variation of the maximum luminance value that is adjusted in order to change the luminance uniformity, and the luminance uniformity that is changed in response to the variation of the maximum luminance value.
