Abstract:
A luminescent glass element comprising a luminescent glass body is provided. A metal film with metal micro structure is formed on the surface of the luminescent glass body having a composition of aM2O•bY2O3•cSiO2•dPr2O3, wherein M is alkali metal, a, b, c and d stand for molar quantities, a is 25-60, b is 1-30, c is 20-70 and d is 0.001-10. A method of preparing the luminescent glass element and a method for luminescence using the element are also provided. The luminescent glass body in the invention has a metal film, which can raising luminous efficiency of the luminescent glass body. The element can be used in light emitting device with ultra high brightness and high speed.
