Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application are a luminous meta-aramid fiber having a skin-core structure, and a manufacturing method and an application thereof. The luminous meta-aramid fiber can emit afterglow light in a dark environment after leaving a lit environment. The manufacturing method comprises preparing a luminous agent dispersion, a polymer solution, a skin-layer spinning solution and a core-layer spinning solution, wherein a spinneret capable of producing fibers having a skin-core structure is selected, and a wet spinning process is used to perform spinning, and then processes such as a coagulation bath, washing, drying, heat processing, crimping and cutting, are carried out. The afterglow of the luminous meta-aramid obtained by using the present method can last for more than 10 hours and the luminous meta-aramid has features of flame-retardance, high breaking strength, high elongation and low cost, which are important for ensuring the safety of personnel working at night in special fields.
