Abstract:
Provided is a method for predicting the differentiation potency of iPS cells in cartilage cells at the undifferentiated iPS cell-stage. Also provided is a genetic marker for predicting the differentiation potency of undifferentiated iPS cells in cartilage cells. This method predicts the differentiation potency of undifferentiated iPS cells in cartilage cells on the basis of gene expression data of the undifferentiated iPS cells. The method predicts the differentiation potency of undifferentiated iPS cells in neural crest cells (NC cells) on the basis of gene expression data of the iPS cells, and as a result, predicts the differentiation potency of the undifferentiated iPS cells in cartilage cells.
