Abstract:
Modified CjCas9 proteins that can better bind to guide RNA and are useful as tools for gene editing. For example, a protein that can bind to guide RNA and comprises a sequence that includes the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2 but has arginine instead of glutamic acid at position 946, arginine instead of alanine at position 911, and arginine instead of isoleucine at position 920.
