Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a MAC address synchronization method and a VTEP. According to the method, a first mapping correspondence configured at a first aggregate port and a first IPP port of a first VTEP is sent to a second VTEP in the same distributed aggregation system, such that the second VTEP configures the first mapping correspondence at a second aggregate port and a second IPP port of the second VETP, the first mapping correspondence representing a mapping correspondence from a first tag ID of a first port of the first VTEP to a first VXLAN identifier, and a second tag ID of a second port of the second VTEP being different from the first tag ID. The first VTEP receives a configuration success message returned by the second VTEP after the first mapping correspondence is successfully configured at the second IPP port. The first VTEP transmits a first MAC address to the second IPP port via the first IPP port, the first MAC address being for accessing a device of the first VTEP via the first port.
