Abstract:
The present invention comprises: a holding jig for supporting a processing object; a brush rotating/driving portion arranged on the holding jig so as to rotate a brush such that the processing object is polished; an X-axis direction driving portion for moving the brush rotating/driving portion in the X-axis direction; a Y-axis direction driving portion for moving the brush rotating/driving portion in the Y-axis direction; a Z-axis direction driving portion for moving the brush rotating/driving portion in the Z-axis direction and thereby pressurizing the surface of a processing surface of the processing object such that a deformed end side surface of the brush polishes the processing surface; and a processing material applying portion arranged behind and near the brush rotating/driving portion so as to move forward/backward such that a processing material made of the same material as that of the processing object is micro-applied to the surface of the brush. The present invention is advantageous in that, when the processing surface of the carbon jig/carbon mold is polished, a preprocessed pitch portion of the processing surface is polished by an end side surface that is deformed when the processing surface is pressurized while a processing material (for example, carbon) made of the same material as that of the jig remains applied to the surface of the polishing member; this prevents scratching due to a contact with an end portion of the polishing member and decreases the initial jig oxidation phenomenon resulting from partial counterbalance of oxygen component adsorption following formation of a carbon material raw surface, thereby extending the life; the luminance in connection with surface gloss could not be implemented in the case of a manually produced product; the flatness-related quality is excellent; and operations can proceed irrespective of the shape of the processing object.
