Abstract:
A machine for separating waste materials mixed with metal, comprising: a conveyor (3) for conveying waste materials mixed with metal; a metal detector (7) for detecting the metal in the waste materials being conveyed on the conveyor (3); a distribution chamber (4) having, at the bottom thereof, both a passage (41) for waste materials for recycling and a passage (42) for metal; a sorting device (5) equipped with a damper (51) for sorting waste materials falling into the distribution chamber (4); and a controller (8) for operating the sorting device (5) on the basis of a metal detection signal from the metal detector (7). When metal is detected by the metal detector (7), the controller (8) performs control so as to move, in synchronism with the fall of the detected metal into the distribution chamber (4), the damper (51) to open the passage for metal and then, after the elapse of a predetermined time period, to return the damper (51) to open the passage (41) for waste materials for recycling.
