Abstract:
The invention relates to a machine tool for machining workpieces (34), in particular sheet-like workpieces, comprising a workpiece support (16) having a first and a second workpiece support surface (22, 23), a retaining device (17) which grips the at least one workpiece and via which the workpiece (34) can be moved relative to the first and second workpiece support surface (22, 23), a beam trapping device (24) provided between the first and second workpiece support surface (22, 23) and having an opening (25) at least partially extending between the first and second workpiece support surface (22, 23), a laser machining device (15) having a laser cutting head (20) which can be moved above the opening (25) of the beam trapping device (24), and a first and a second die (31, 36) limiting an opening (25) of the beam trapping device (24), wherein a hold-down element (48) of a hold-down device (46) is provided above one of the two dies (31, 36) and orientated in the direction of the dies (31, 36), and can be adjusted at least in terms of its distance from the supporting contact plane of the die (31).
