Abstract:
Provided are a machine tool and a processing machine line that make it possible to perform an in-machine operation from a machine-body-width-direction side surface, wherein the machine tool and the processing machine line have: a main axis device that causes a workpiece to rotate, the workpiece being gripped by a main axis chuck; a drive device that causes a tool to move along a processing-axis direction in order to process the workpiece; a closed-space processing chamber in which the workpiece gripped by the main axis chuck is processed by the tool moving due to the drive device; an operation door attached to an operation window in a machine body side wall that constitutes part of the processing chamber; an electromagnetic lock device provided to the operation door; and a manipulation device attached to the machine body side wall, the manipulation device being capable of performing an operation to unlock the electromagnetic lock and an operation to prevent driving of the main axis device and the drive device.
