A machine tool (100) comprises: a splash guard (7) having a machining chamber discharge opening (71) directly below a table (6), the splash guard (7) being formed from a vertical wall or slanting wall that collects scraps produced by machining at the machining chamber discharge opening (71); a magazine chamber cover (14) having a magazine chamber discharge opening (15) directly below a tool magazine (50), the magazine chamber cover (14) being formed from a vertical wall or slanting wall that collects scraps falling from the tool magazine (50) at the magazine chamber discharge opening (15); a trough (8) provided spanning from below a machining chamber (R1) to below a magazine chamber (R2), the trough (8) transporting scraps that have fallen from the machining chamber discharge opening (71) together with scraps that have fallen from the magazine chamber discharge opening (15); and a scrap recovery device (9) that recovers the scraps transported by the trough (8).
