Abstract:
Provided is a machine tool 2 including: a coolant discharge part 20 for discharging a coolant into a machining space M; a moving cover 4 movable between an opening position to open the machining space M and a closing position to close the machining space M; and a servomotor 32 for moving the moving cover 4 to the opening position or the closing position, wherein a driving force of the servomotor 32 for moving the moving cover 4 toward the closing position is changed depending on a state of the coolant in the machining space M. This makes it possible to provide a machine tool that can reduce emission of a mist of the coolant to the outside by adjusting the degree of sealing depending on the state of the coolant in the machining space.
