Abstract:
The present invention provides a machine tool which makes tool replacement easy. Provided is a machine tool 1 comprising a main spindle 31 which holds a workpiece W and which is rotatable about a main spindle center line CL1, and a cutting tool rest 5, wherein: the cutting tool rest 5 has a quad rotating tool unit 53 to which is installed a rotating tool 93a on one side that machines the workpiece W and which is capable of turning about a first turning axis line B1 that is along a Y1 axis direction orthogonal to the main spindle center line CL1, and a turning base 52 to which the quad rotating tool unit 53 is attached; and the quad rotating tool unit 53 is detachable from the turning base 52.
