Abstract:
Provided are a machining apparatus equipped with a waste recovery device suitable for recovering wastes etc. which are liable to be electrostatically charged, and a machining method using said machining apparatus. The machining apparatus is equipped with a waste recovery device which recovers wastes generated by predetermined machining operations. The waste recovery device is equipped with a transfer path which transfers wastes by using airflow; a water supply device which is provided at an intermediate position in the transfer path, and supplies a predetermined amount of water to wastes, thereby performing antistatic treatment; a cyclone which performs separation processing on wastes that were subjected to antistatic treatment; and a recovery tank which recovers wastes that were subjected to separation processing by the cyclone.
