Abstract:
A machining condition-determining device (1) is provided with: a first setting unit (2a) for setting the cutting velocity of a cutting tool; a storage unit (3) for storing the maximum output of a drive motor, which rotates a main shaft that holds the cutting tool, and the rotation speed of said drive motor that corresponds to said maximum output; a rotation speed-determining unit (4) for acquiring the steady state value for the maximum output of the drive motor stored in the storage unit (3) and determining the rotation speed for the drive motor that corresponds to the acquired steady state value for the maximum output; and a tool diameter-determining unit (5) for calculating the tool diameter of the cutting tool from the cutting velocity set by the first setting unit (2a) and the rotation speed of the drive motor determined by the rotation speed-determining unit (4).
