Abstract:
The present invention keeps a holding member that is holding a sheet-like workpiece from flexing or tilting while the holding member is being transported; and improves machining precision. A machining device that is for machining a sheet-like workpiece, the machining device comprising: a guide member that is provided opposite a machining part with a transport path therebetween and that extends in a first direction that is the direction in which a holding member is transported; a sliding part that is provided on a second surface of the holding member, the second surface being on the reverse side from a first surface at which the workpiece is held, and that, when the holding member is being transported along the transport path, contacts the guide member so as to be capable of sliding in the first direction; and a pressing part that presses the holding member such that the sliding part is pressed toward the guide member.
