Abstract:

　The machining insert according to one aspect of the present invention is provided with: an upper surface of polygon shape having an angled portion, a first side, and a second side; a lower surface; a side surface; and a cutting blade. The cutting blade has a corner cutting blade provided at a location corresponding to the angled portion, and a first cutting blade provided at a location corresponding to the first side. The upper surface has a sloping surface equipped with a first sloping surface situated along the first side, a second sloping surface situated along the second side, and a third sloping surface situated along the angled portion. The slope angle of the first sloping surface is greater than the slope angle of the second sloping surface.
