Abstract:
Provided is a machining jig on which a carbon membrane (3) is formed on the machining face of a rigid substrate (1), and that is characterized in that the carbon membrane (3) shows a Raman spectroscopy spectrum with an intensity ratio, as expressed by the formula ID/IG (wherein ID is the maximum peak intensity at 1333 ± 10 cm-1 in the Raman spectroscopy spectrum of the carbon membrane surface, and IG is the maximum peak intensity at 1500 ± 100 cm-1 in the Raman spectroscopy spectrum of the carbon membrane surface), exceeding 0.6. Also provided is a method for manufacturing seamless can bodies that is characterized by including a step of using a mold machining member, on which a diamond membrane is formed on the machining surface, to press machine a metal material onto the machining surface of the mold machining member with coolant being interspersed therebetween.
