Provided is a machining method of a machine tool (1), wherein a tool (2) and a dynamic vibration absorber (41) are disposed to face each other with a thin plate part (31) that is a machining region of a workpiece (3) interposed therebetween, and the work piece (material to be machined) (3) is machined by synchronously moving the tool (2) and the dynamic vibration absorber (41), the dynamic vibration absorber (41) being provided with a weight (411), a spring member (412), and an attenuator (413) and having the function of suppressing vibration generated when the workpiece (3) is machined by the machine tool (2), the dynamic vibration absorber (41) being provided with a moving part (414) having a wheel (46) at least part of which is configured from a viscoelastic body, the position of the dynamic vibration absorber and the position of the tool (2) being detected by a position detection unit (43), and the dynamic vibration absorber (41) being moved by a drive unit (42) via a control unit (44) on the basis of the positions, thereby enabling the suppression of vibration over the entire machining region of the workpiece. Also provided is a mobile dynamic vibration absorber.
