Abstract:
A touch probe (102) is attached to a main shaft (115), and the position (Pp1) of a tip (102a) with the probe (102) in an on state and the position (Pp2) of the tip (102a) with the probe in an off state, when the end of the main shaft (115) is positioned at a prescribed position (Ps1), are optically measured by a camera (123). The deadband zone length (Lp2) of the probe (102) is calculated on the basis of the aforementioned positions (Pp1, Pp2), and the apparent length (Lp1) of the probe (102) is calculated on the basis of the position Ps1 and the position Pp2. After the effective length (Lp3) of the probe (102) has been calculated by adding the deadband zone length (Lp2) to the apparent length (Lp1), the probe (102) derives the actual length (Lw) of a workpiece (1), and a tool (103) is then attached to the main shaft (115), the position (Pt1) of the tip (103a) of the tool (103) is optically measured by the camera (123) and the actual length (Lt) of the tool (103) is calculated. Machining is then implemented on the basis of the aforementioned height (Lw) and the aforementioned length (Lt).
