Abstract:
Disclosed is a machining tool in which, in respect to machining of a thread part, a thread-rolling tool (130) is configured to be capable of switching between a closed state in which action is taken on a workpiece and an open state in which no action is taken thereon, the machining tool being used to form the thread part by inserting the workpiece into the thread-rolling tool (130) in a closed state while the workpiece is being rotated concentrically to the thread-rolling tool (130). An engagement part (111) capable of mutually engaging with an operating part (132a) that actuates a switching operation between the open state and the closed state of the thread-rolling tool (130) is provided on the side of a main shaft (110). The engagement part (111) is disposed in such a manner as to be capable of engaging the operating part (132a) concentrically with the thread-rolling tool (130) and the workpiece. The switching between the open state and the closed state of the thread-rolling tool (130) takes place as the main shaft (110) is rotated while the operating part (132a) is kept in engagement with the engagement part (111).
