Abstract:
Provided is a magenta toner for electrostatic charge image development, the magenta toner being such that toner blowout and the occurrence of fogging under high temperature and high humidity can be suppressed. The electrostatic charge image-developing toner contains colored resin particles including a binder resin and a magenta coloring agent, and an external additive, and is characterized in that the colored resin particles have a volume mean particle diameter of 5.5 to 7.0 μm, and the external additive contains silica particles, the silica particles containing at least silica particles A having a number mean particle diameter of 5 to 30 nm and silica particles B having a number mean particle diameter of 31 to 100 nm. The total content of the silica particles is 0.5 to 4.5 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the colored resin particles, and the silica particles have a release rate in a range of 2.2 to 9.5% as calculated by a specific release rate measurement method.
