Abstract:
Disclosed is a magnesium alloy member having high metallic texture. Specifically disclosed is a magnesium alloy member comprising a base comprising a magnesium alloy and a coating layer formed on the base, wherein the base has a surface-processed part in which fine recesses and projections are formed on at least a part of the surface so as to impart the metallic texture, and wherein the coating layer is transparent. The metallic texture of the member can be improved effectively, because the member has the surface-treated part thereon. The member has excellent corrosion resistance, because the coating layer is provided on the member. The member can be improved in its metallic texture effectively, because the member has a surface-processed part thereon. The member has excellent corrosion resistance, because the member has a coating layer. In the member, the metallic texture imparted by the surface-processed part can be reflected more effectively, because the coating layer is transparent. The processing for forming recesses and projections can be achieved by a hair-line processing, a dia-cut processing or the like.
