Abstract:
A magnesium alloy material, being a magnesium alloy having an in-situ magnesium hydroxide nanosheet layer. The material is prepared by means of a hydrothermal reaction of magnesium alloy in alkaline conditions. The protective function of the magnesium hydroxide nanosheet layer formed in-situ significantly strengthens the anti-corrosiveness of the magnesium alloy and, as the release rate of the magnesium ions can be significantly reduced, biocompatibility is also significantly improved. In addition, the two-dimensional nanolayer structure has non-releasable physical antibacterial properties that depend on contact, and therefore has extremely high prospects for application in the field of medical implants.
