Abstract:
Provided is a magnesium oxide-containing spinel powder which is capable of producing a ceramic sintered body that has high strength and excellent strength stability. A magnesium oxide-containing spinel powder which has a 50% particle diameter (D50) of 0.30 to 10.00 μm, and wherein: the ratio of the difference between the 90% particle diameter (D90) and D50 to the difference between D50 and the 10% particle diameter (D10), namely (D90 - D50)/(D50 - D10) is 1.0 to 5.0; and the composition ratios of Mg and Al in terms of oxides, namely the composition ratio of MgO is 50% to 90% by weight and the composition ratio of Al2O3 is 50% to 10% by weight.
