Abstract:
A magnetic bearing main body (21) supports a rotary shaft (33) in a noncontact manner by means of the combined electromagnetic force (F) of a pair of control electromagnets (201, 203). On the basis of a first coil current (IL) flowing in the coil of the first control electromagnet (201) of the pair of control electromagnets (201, 203), which generates electromagnetic force in the same direction as the load of the rotary shaft, a control unit (11) detects a control index value, which is an index of the control margin dependent on the current value of the first coil current (IL), and the control unit controls the central value between the pair of coil currents (IU, IL) flowing respectively in the coils (23, 23) of the pair of control electromagnets (201, 203), so as to bring the control index value close to a preset target index value.
