Title:
MAGNETIC BEARING SPINDLE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/007982
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A magnetic bearing spindle, comprising a radial magnetic bearing rotor (2) formed by stacking ring−shaped punched plates formed of flat rolled magnetic steel sheet, an axial magnetic bearing rotor (3) formed of magnetic material, and a spindle motor rotor (4) fixed to a rotating shaft (1) and a plurality of electromagnets disposed at minute intervals around the rotating shaft (1), wherein a cooling air inlet (24) is formed in an anti−load side bracket (17), an air passing route (25) is formed in a frame (15), a triangular part (11) is provided on the outer diameter part of the axial magnetic bearing rotor (3), radial through−holes (13) are provided at equal intervals in the outer diameter part of a collar (12) for the axial positioning of an axial magnetic bearing stator (6), and cooling air is fed through the through−holes (13), whereby the variation rate of a pipeline resistance when the cooling air passes therethrough can be reduced, and the rotating shaft (1) and the axial magnetic bearing stator (6) can be cooled efficiently.
