Abstract:
A first winding (3a), a second winding (3b), a fourth winding (3e), and a fifth winding (3f) that function as a transformer are each wound on side legs of a three legged core. A third winding (3c, 3d) that functions as a DC reactor is wound on a center leg. The winding directions of each of the first winding (3a), the second winding (3b), and the third winding (3c, 3d) are set such that the magnetic fluxes generated by DC currents that flow through the windings converge in the same direction in the center leg. The winding directions of each of the fourth winding (3e) and the fifth winding (3f) are set such that the magnetic fluxes generated by AC currents that flow through the windings cancel each other out in the center leg. In this way, the transformer and the direct-current reactor are integrated by means of the three leg core into an integrated magnetic component (3), achieving reductions in size and loss.
