Abstract:
This magnetic component (3) provided to an electronic device is equipped with: a coil (4) which comprises a conductor that generates a magnetic flux upon receipt of electric current; cores (5a, 5b) that are each composed of a magnetic body for forming a magnetic path for the magnetic flux; and a frame (6) which is formed by insert molding so as to cover the coil (4) and which is composed of an insulator that provides insulation between the coil (4) and the cores (5a, 5). The frame (6) comprises: a primary molding insulator (6c) which holds and covers a portion of a straight part (4d) of the coil (4) so as to position the straight part (4d) in place within a mold during insert molding; and a secondary molding insulator (6d) which covers the remaining portion of the straight part (4d), wherein the primary molding insulator (6c) and the secondary molding insulator (6d) have a boundary (S) therebetween that extends, in a curved shape, from the straight part (4d) toward the cores (5a, 5b).
