Abstract:
(Problem) To efficiently produce cooling air and heating air in response to a demanded cooling capacity and a demanded heating capacity. (Solution) A magnetic cooling and heating device in which a plurality of hollow heat-producing disks (410Aa to 410Ca, 410Ab to 410Cb) provided with a magnetocaloric material and a heat switch and hollow magnetic-field-applying disks (400Aa to 400Da, 400Ab to 400Db) provided with a magnetic-field-applying part for applying a magnetic field to the magnetocaloric material are layered in an alternating manner, and causing at least one of the heat-producing disks and the magnetic-field-applying disks to rotate in a relative manner causes heat to be delivered in a direction perpendicular to the rotation direction; wherein the magnetic cooling and heating device has an outer rotor motor (300M) for causing at least one of the heat-producing disks and the magnetic-field-applying disks to rotate, and a clutch (300C) for transmitting a drive force from the outer rotor motor to the plurality of heat-producing disks or the plurality of magnetic-field-applying disks in an integrated manner or as a plurality of separated groups.
