Abstract:
This invention provides a magnetic core for a current transformer, which is suitable
for the detection of an alternating current having a large asymmetric waveform
and an alternating current in which direct currents have been superimposed on
top of each other, and a current transformer and a watt-hour meter using the same.
This invention provides a magnetic core for a current transformer, comprising
an alloy having a composition represented by general formula: Fe100-x-a-y-cMxCuaM'yX'c
(atomic%), wherein M represents at least one element selected from the group
consisting of Co and Ni; M' represents at least one element selected from
the group consisting of V, Ti, Zr, Nb, Mo, Hf, Ta, and W; X' represents at least
one element selected from the group consisting of Si and B; x, a, y, and c satisfy
3 ≤ x ≤ 50, 0.1 ≤ a ≤ 3, 1 ≤ y ≤ 10, and
2 ≤ c ≤ 30, respectively, and, at the same time, y and c satisfy 7
≤ y + c ≤ 30, at least a part or the whole of the texture comprising
grains having an average particle diameter of not more than 50 nm.
