Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide a magnetic detector in which a structure capable of bipolar
detection can be achieved easily with a smaller size using a magnetoresistance
effect element utilizing magnetoresistance effect, and to provide an electronic
apparatus which can perform a switching operation easily using that magnetic
detector. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A magnet (10) is provided in a display
case (2) and supported by a slide-movable operation body (12). A magnetoresistance
effect element (11) is provided in an operation case (3). When the operation
body (12) is slide-moved, an external field H in the (+) direction and an external
field H in the (-) direction intrude into the magnetoresistance effect element
(11) from the magnet (10) at a separate timing and the electric resistance of the
magnetoresistance effect element (11) is varied. Switching can be made to a
specified mode when the operation body (12) is slide-moved based on the variation
of resistance in the magnetoresistance effect element (11).
