Abstract:

[PROBLEMS] To provide a magnetic detector for detecting both electrodes by a simpler circuit configuration compared with conventional configurations, and to provide an electronic device. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A magnetic detector (30) is composed of a first magnetoresistance effect element (12) using magnetoresistance effects wherein electric resistance changes by an external magnetic field. The magnetic detector is also provided with a common circuit section which is connected to the magnetoresistance effect element (12) and detects both an external magnetic field in the (+) direction and an external magnetic field in the (-) direction, based on the electric resistance change. With the common circuit section thus arranged, the magnetic detector detects both electrodes by the simple circuit configuration compared with conventional configurations. Furthermore, size reduction of the magnetic detector is also attained.
