Abstract:
The present invention provides a magnetic element capable of generating skyrmions, and a skyrmion memory and the like that use the magnetic element. Provided is a magnetic element that has a chiral magnetic body and is designed to generate skyrmions, the chiral magnetic body being made of a magnetic material having a β-Mn-type crystal structure. Further, provided is a magnetic element that has a chiral magnetic body and is designed to generate skyrmions, the chiral magnetic body being made of a magnetic material having an Au4Al-type crystal structure.
