Abstract:
Disclosed are a magnetic encoder and a magnetizing device therfor, in which, with a plurality of rows of magnetic encoder tracks, even if the magnetic interference between the tracks occurs, a constant pitch signal for detecting rotation can be detected by a sensor with high accuracy, an air gap can be also made desirable, and the structure can be simplified together with the facilitation of the compactification. A magnetization magnetic pattern (Pa) in which N poles and S poles for generating the constant pitch signal for detecting rotation are alternately arranged is formed in a magnetic encoder track (1), and the magnetic encoder track (1) is formed in such a manner that a magnetic pattern (Psa) to be detected, in which the magnetic of both rows of magnetic encoder tracks (1, 2) interferes and acts on the positions of sensors achieves a constant pitch in a magnetic encoder (ME) used with the air gap interposed therebetween relative to the sensors for reading the magnetic signal of each of the magnetic encoder tracks (1, 2).
