Abstract:
Provided is a magnetic head with which a decrease in read accuracy due to noise can be suppressed. The magnetic head 6 comprises: a head body 22 that includes a core 32 having a gap 31, and a coil 34 wound around the core 32; a demodulation circuit 52 that demodulates an analog signal output from the coil 34; an encryption circuit 53 that encrypts the demodulated signal output from the demodulation circuit 52; and a head case 21 that stores the head body 22. The magnetic head 6 detects a change in magnetic field when a magnetic card (magnetic recording medium) 3 passes through the gap 31. The magnetic head 6 is equipped with a filter circuit 51 connected between the coil 34 and the demodulation circuit 52 and removing noise from the analog signal. A capacitor 56 and a resistor 57 constituting the filter circuit 51 are stored in the head case 21. Since the magnetic head 6 is equipped with the filter circuit 51, the decrease in read accuracy due to noise can be suppressed.
