A fastener provided with an engagement mechanism, small-sized, lightweight, and not easily removable. A magnetic hook provided with an engagement mechanism comprises a female hook having a lock section, and also comprises a male hook having a dowel. The lock section of the female hook is provided with a hook which is engaged with the dowel of the male hook, a guide which holds the hook, a drive piece which consists of a magnetic material and disengages the engagement of the hook with the dowel of the male hook, and a spring which presses the hook to a locked state. Engaging the hook with the dowel of the male hook connects and locks the male hook and the female hook together. Moving the drive piece by the magnetic force of a magnetic key disengages the engagement of the hook to set the female hook and the male hook to a disengaged state, and this enables the female hook and the male hook to be separated and removed from each other.
