Abstract:
The present invention relates to a magnetic material which contains magnetic alloy particles each having an ordered crystal structure. A magnetic material according to the present invention is composed of magnetic alloy particles that are formed of an FePt alloy, CoPt alloy, FePd alloy, Co3Pt alloy, Fe3Pt alloy, CoPt3 alloy, FePt3 alloy or the like having crystal magnetic anisotropy and a silica carrier that covers the magnetic alloy. The silica carrier contains an alkaline earth metal compound such as an oxide, hydroxide and silicic acid compound of Ba, Ca or Sr. This magnetic material has excellent magnetic characteristics such as coercivity.
