Abstract:
This magnetic material contains a structure in which a first magnetic layer (1) and a second magnetic layer (2) are alternately laminated, essentially as single atom layers, in at least one part in the direction of lamination. The first magnetic layer contains mainly Co, and the second magnetic layer contains at least Ni. The magnetic material exhibits magnetic anisotropy in the direction of lamination. It is preferable for the atomic arrangement within the film surface of the first magnetic layer and second magnetic layer to essentially exhibit six-fold symmetry.
