Abstract:
A magnetic pearlescent pigment with a 3D effect and a preparation method of the magnetic pearlescent pigment. The magnetic pearlescent pigment comprises a pearlescent pigment, a magnetic coating layer located on pearlescent pigment layers and a protective layer located on the magnetic coating layer, wherein the magnetic coating layer consists of cobalt oxide, iron oxide and iron protoxide; the pearlescent pigment comprises a base material and one or more pearlescent pigment layers. The pearlescent pigment creates a three-dimensional and dreamlike 3D effect by means of the phenomenon of magnetic traveling of the superficial magnetic material. With the preparation method for the magnetic pearlescent pigment, the problem that ferrous iron is easily oxidized can be overcome, loss of ferroferric oxide and magnetic loss are reduced, part of produced iron cobaltate is stable and thus not prone to oxidation, and the pigment can be stored for a long time.
