Abstract:

Disclosed is a magnetic recording disk which shows a high reliability even when a magnetic head thereof is designed to have a low flying height. In the magnetic recording disk, a lubricant is defined both in molecular structure and in quantitative aspect. In a lubricating layer (14) of the magnetic recording disk (1), a lubricant having the following composition is used: a first component=71.7%; a second component=15.7%; a third component=11.7%; a forth component=0.3%; and a fifth component=0.6%.
