Abstract:
Disclosed is a magnetic recording medium comprising a glass substrate (1G) on which a magnetic recording layer (20) is formed, wherein the main surface of the glass substrate is provided with a first heat conduction area (101) defined by a plurality of circles concentric with the center of the glass substrate (1G) and having thermal conductivity higher than the glass substrate (1G), the first heat conduction area (101) is arranged to extend over a plurality of tracks (T), the width (W) of the first heat conduction area (101) in the radial direction is greater than the depth (H) of the first heat conduction area (101) from the main surface.
