Abstract:
This magnetic recording medium is provided with: a long substrate having flexibility; a soft magnetic layer having an average thickness of 10-50 nm; and a recording layer, wherein the soft magnetic layer is provided between the substrate and the recording layer, and the difference between the Young's modulus of the magnetic recording medium and the Young's modulus of the substrate in the longitudinal direction of the substrate is 2.4 GPa or greater.
