Abstract:
Provided is an MRI apparatus having a cover divided into a small number of smaller covers which are easy to attach and detach. A first cover (2) and a second cover (3) are coupled to each other by a hinge. The first and second covers are turned around the hinge and opened in opposite directions to expose magnetic field generation units (104, 105), etc. After predetermined maintenance work is performed on the magnetic field generation units, the first and second covers (2, 3) are closed from opposite directions to cover the magnetic field generation units again. The first and second covers (2, 3) can also be opened and maintenance work can be performed while a bed (119) disposed adjacent the magnetic field generation units (104, 105) and a third cover (9) disposed adjacent the bed (119) are in place.
